Aguila - Full Metal Jacket - 55 Grain 223 Remington Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
Since its introduction in 1962 with full on production beginning in 1964, the .223 Remington has become one of the most underappreciated yet eminently popular rifle round in the US. Initially dismissed for the .22 caliber diameter, the high velocity full metal bullet has proven itself more than able to take on more than just varmints. Added to that, the small size of the cartridge simply means more can be brought with you, as emphasized by this 50 round count box. The .223 Remington is also capable of being safely fired from .223 Wylde and 5.56 NATO chambers, making it the most versatile of that family of cartridges. The 55 grain full metal jacket round by Aguila has a nominal muzzle velocity of around 3240 feet per second with approximately 1280 foot pounds of energy. This is designed to be a range training or target shooting round fit for everything from casual plinking to a dedicated competition round.
Aguila’s production in Mexico of rimfire ammunition began in the 1960s when they quickly became recognized as a provider of premium performance products. As they moved towards centerfire ammunition, the quality and premium components including boxer primed, fully reloadable cases. Aguila continues to be considered a first class range training and competition quality ammunition producer.
