Black Hills Ammunition CNL 158 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
When Smith & Wesson’s .38 Special was introduced in 1898 it quickly became a popular choice in both private and law enforcement communities. It is also a favored round for personal protection in the home and while out and about. The cartridge is inherently easy shooting and accurate making it ideal for both service and competitions and is a very popular choice or modern alternative caliber for the popular cowboy action or single action shooting sports. The 158 grain conical lead nosed bullet by Black Hills has a muzzle velocity of 800 feet per second with 225 foot pounds of energy. The hard cast, flat nosed bullets are also ideal for use in cowboy action carbines as there is little risk of the tips setting off primers of the next rounds as a result of recoil.
Black Hills Ammunition began manufacturing life specifically to provide reliable and accurate ammunition for single action cowboy shooters. While authenticity prefers the original calibers, many modern reproductions of these type of guns utilize the .38sp/.357 magnum chambers for economy and ease of feeding. BHA also provides their ammunition with boxer primed cases that are fully reloadable for more value.
