PMC Pointed Soft-Point (PSP) 150 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Unlike the .223/5.56NATO pairing, it is recognized that the .308/7.62NATO twins may in fact be fired in each other’s chambers safely. While the NATO round is typically only available in fmj round for predominantly military use, the .308 Winchester is more diversified and loaded with a variety of sporting and performance bullets that are not inhibited by international rules of war. Other than that, there is not more than a marginal difference in the performance of one round over the other and why the branding is often interchangeable. The 150 grain pointed soft point bullet by PMC Bronze has a muzzle velocity of 2820 feet per second with 2648 foot pounds of energy. While well suited enough for match shooting and even formal or informal competitions, the bullet is more suited to hunting deer and even elk thanks to the soft point.
The PMC Bronze line is the South Korean company’s step up from their range or training ammunition, offered with bullet types more purpose driven to sport hunting or unofficial civil defense purposes. Loaded on boxer primed cases that have a reputation for longevity, PMC remains its country’s most prolific manufacturer of ammunition for both national defense and commercial export.
