PMC Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) 147 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Development of the 7.62x51mm rifle round began in the US shortly after World War I when there was an effort to make an improved .30 cal for semi and full automatic fire. The Garand kept the .30-06 round in service to great effect, but in the 1950's US involvement in NATO made a change inevitable. Winchester saw the trend, and released the .308 Winchester 1952. While a hotter round than the 7.62x51, it is physically the same size and both cartridges can be fired in firearms chambered in either caliber. PMC's full metal jacket boat tail (FMJBT) bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2780 feet per second with over 2500 foot pounds of energy. It is ideal for training and target shooting, especially in military firearms chambered for the NATO round.
Precision Made Cartridges, or PMC, provides cartridges for the South Korean military arms. As a proof of reliability, there can be few stronger examples than a nation that has technically been at war for over 65 years. PMC is one of the few manufacturers that maintains direct control over component selection to ensure quality and their reloadable cases have been praised by Americans for their durability.
