Federal Nosler Partition 150 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The .308/7.62x51 twins have an introduction date that spans from 1952 (.308) to 1954 (7.62x51/NATO). The cartridges themselves are so close that either can be fired in the other’s chamber without concern, though the .308 is generally accepted as being the slightly hotter load of the two. For use in military and sporting arms, this is perhaps one of the most popular and prolific full rifle calibers in the world outside of Soviet/Russian influence. It remains popular with law enforcement precision shooting teams as well as hunters, recreational and professional marksmen.
The 150 grain Nosler Partition bullet by Federal has a muzzle velocity of 2840 feet per second with 2686 foot pounds of energy behind it. It is an ideal hunting cartridge.
A Nosler Partition bullet is essentially two lead cores enveloped in copper jacketing that also separates the lead: with an open front to offer expansion, the separating copper, or partition, keeps the second core from opening and splitting off, thus losing important mass and penetrative capabilities after entry. Federal Ammunition’s Premium offering is well recognized for providing superior reliability and performance on and into the target. Providing quality ammunition since the 1920’s all cases are boxer primed and fully reloadable.
