Hornady Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) 110 Grain 30 Carbine Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
The .30 Caliber Carbine cartridge was developed by Winchester at the behest of the US Army, and represents America’s first efforts to create a rifle round that had more manageable characteristics of a pistol round or submachinegun. While not as potent as the modern assault rifle cartridges that came after the war, the .30 Carb was nevertheless very popular in the Pacific theatre of operations for having a velocity fast enough to penetrate the copious green cover of the jungles. It ay not phave provided the knockdown of a .45 ACP. But neither was it stopped or deflected by thin layers of cover. Hornady’s 110 grain full metal jacketed round has a muzzle velocity of 2000 feet per second with 977 foot pounds of energy. It is not a hunting round bt represents a very dependable target shooting cartridge for use in competitive matches: military style or otherwise.
Hornady ammunition has been providing consumers and commercial developers alike with a premium cartridge since the 1960s. Today the company is the litmus test of new, successful firearms designs and these 50 rounds are superb choices for use in competitive matches. While there are other firearms chambered for this cartridge, it remains most popularly associated with the M1 Carbine and all its variants.
