Federal Fusion 150 Grain SP 270 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
.270 ammo is a very versatile caliber for use in long range target shooting as well as for sport hunting. The 150 grain soft point Fusion bullet by Federal has a muzzle velocity of 2850 feet per second with the energy of 2705 foot pounds. The Fusion bullet electrochemically bonds the jacket to the bullet for optimum mass retention while expanding into the target.
.270 shares a common ancestry with the Springfield .30-06 to the .30-03. Bey necking down the caliber the bullet gains a longer sectional density for stability in flight and into hunting game. While the caliber gained only marginal interest upon its introduction in 1925, it gained much more popularity after World War II as deer hunting became a more common sport. Especially for returning veterans with battlefield pickups that needed a domestic caliber to rechamber their trophies.
Federal ammunition was founded in Minnesota during the 1920s and has offered full lines of ammunition from target and practice to premium performance sporting cartridges. The Fusion line is a technological compromise between the company’s top performing cartridges at a value that is obtainable by hunters that need to focus on economy without worrying about tracking wounded game through the woods.
