PMC Bronze Hunting Soft-Point (SP) 55 Grain 223 Remington Ammo - 800 Rounds
Details
Since being introduced in 1962, the .223 Remington is commonly associated with its widely accepted military applications, but nevertheless remains a potent sporting cartridge, both for target and hunting purposes. The diminutive bullet achieving hyper velocities has a short to medium range flat trajectory and capability of delivering often surprising terminal ballistics when anything other than a FMJ round is employed. A soft point bullet is designed to transfer more of its energy into the target rather than pass on through when it only hits soft tissue: the bane of jacketed bullets travelling this fast. PMC’s 55 grain SP bullet leaves the barrel at 3200 feet per second with 1250 ft lbs of energy. Perfectly suitable for use in competitive matches or target practice, this cartridge also remains a strong competitor in medium sized game hunting, even proposed for use against wild boar, where hollow point ammunition is restricted.
PMC Bronze is the performance line of Precision Metallic Cartridge of South Korea. Made in the same plant that provides ammo for the country’s military branches, the Koreans have a particular desire to produce high quality munitions. Further, PMC is prized for their brass cases that are made from raw materials subjected to a rigorous quality control process, making them ideal sources for reloading purposes.
