Fiocchi HV #5 Shot 1-1/4 oz. 2-3/4" 12 Gauge Ammo - 25 Rounds
Details
No longer the sport for the aristocratic elite, “birding” has become a staple of many people’s seasonal traditions as well as necessity for keeping food in the larder. With the versatility of any given shotgun, and especially the variety of shells available, it is important to select the correct shell for the given application. Larger shot (identified by the smaller number of the shot size) is more suitable for larger game. For instance, this #5 shot fires a number of .12” diameter shot at approximately 1330 feet from the muzzle. Loaded with an ounce and a quarter of shot translates to about 210 individual pellets per shot. This is perfectly suitable for use against larger upland, that is to say NOT wetland, birds such as Turkey and or goose – in fields: lead shot is very often prohibited in lowlands where water contamination is a concern.
Shotshells by Fiocchi that are sold in the United States are almost exclusively manufactured in the company’s Springfield, Missouri facility. The company itself is obviously of Italian origin but was founded in 1876 and has pioneered every modern advancement in the self-contained cartridge. With proper reloading equipment, Fiocchi shells can be reloaded.
